NHD Reflection 1/26/09

I am glad that NHD is over. I think that we did have a little more time this year than last year. I think that workshops could of been a little longer. Workshops were not as crowded as they were last year and this year Ms. Klose had to leave. Mrs. Rosendoul was a big help.

Throughout this process I faced many challenges. Some of the challenges that I faced was not being able to access a computer during workshops. Majority of the laptops were not working and there was only one desktop computer in the art room. So most of my work had to be done at home.

My partner and I did not win. I don't know why. I feel as though some of the people that they picked should of never won because one person didn't do her board until they day before it was due and didn't even come to school the next and brought her project in the following day. I felt as though she should of never won. There were many people who worked hard on there boards and put a lot of creativity in it that should of won.

The individual in history that I picked was Ruby Bridges. Ruby Bridges was the first African American child to integrate schools in the south. She was born on Sept. 8, 1954. Today she a fundation and she goes around to different schools telling her story.
